Time to check in with my writing progress. Last month, I wrote 15,334 words, just over my goal of 15,288 (yes, that is an odd number for a goal, but I have a system). Of that, 9,596 words were on Trust Me and 5,738 were on the sequel, A Good Kind of Trouble.
I have written 47,850 words so far in 2013, which is slightly ahead of pace to make my yearly goal of 180,000 words. I wrote on 18 days this month, which is better than I thought I had done because I had some pretty busy weeks at work. My daily average for the month was 495 words.
Overall, it’s not a bad showing. But I’m disappointed that I still haven’t wrapped up Trust Me. I did only write on two WIPs in March. That’s an improvement in focus. And I did edge closer to the end of Trust Me, even if I didn’t get to write those words — yet.
Next month, I plan on taking part in Camp NaNoWriMo (link) and my goal will be to write 14,795. I haven’t yet figured out what WIP to focus on for April, but I think I’ll work toward getting Trust Me finished first. If I do that, then I might jump into my last NaNo project, which now has a full outline.
But first, drafting those two chapters that will get me from certain disaster to “The End.”
